Please
“walk” into the classroom, proceed to your seat, before last bell, and begin assignment on the white board. |

initial assignment will be posted on the white board, please begin working
until instructed to do otherwise. |

must present a pass to excuse yourself or you will be put into the discipline
plan, depending on reason. |

Knowing the schedule for the class |

will begin the posted assignment on the board. Then we will go over any
previous assignment and go into the new material. Class time may be available
to complete assignments/homework. |

my hand raised, I will say “Give me 3” (Stop, Look, Listen) |

Directions
will be written on the white board or given orally. Other directions will be available in the
textbooks. PLEASE READ!!!! |

turning in assignments |
All
papers will be turned into the wire basket on the front table, or I may walk
around to collect them. Remember, quality is very important! |

Returning student work |
Student
work will be passed back the next day if at all possible. Two days at the latest. |
|
Papers around computers |
Please
do not leave any of your homework papers around your computer. There are 3 garbage baskets and a recycling
box to dispose of papers. |

Food and Drink (Per class basis) |
No
food and drink will be allowed near the computers, however, you may leave
your drinks/food on the desks behind you.
Please do not do eat and type at the same time. Also,
do not leave wrappers or bottles otherwise your eating privilege will be
revoked. |

Going to the office |
Please
go to the office before/between classes, unless you are specifically called
by the office to go, for example, in an emergency. |
|
Keeping a progress report |
If
you are interested in knowing your progress, you may schedule a one-on-one
meeting with me before or after school or see me during class. |
|
When a school-wide announcement is made |
Please
listen to the announcement quietly so we can all hear, and then return to the
work at hand. |
|
Responding to a fire drill/severe weather alert |
Please
remain calm and follow the instructions in your student handbook and those
posted by the door. |
|
When visitors are in the classroom |
Please
treat them with respect and keep busy or listen intently if they are there to
speak to you. |
|
If teacher is out of classroom |
If
I do leave the room it would be when you are busy working on an
assignment. Therefore, we should have
no disruptions because you will all know what to do, right? |
|
Request for the Restroom |
I
will allow one a week, and only if you feel like you will have an internal
explosion, unless, it is medically
necessary for you to have frequent bathroom breaks. |
|
If you are suddenly ill |
If
you feel like you will seriously vomit, please leave the room immediately and
go to the restroom. Thank you for
sparing us the sight of your breakfast/lunch. |
|
End-of-period class dismissal |
The bell does not dismiss
you, I do. When dismissed, please
close books and push in chairs. DO
NOT WAIT BY DOOR! A HALF HOUR OF
DETENTION WILL BE ASSIGNED IF YOU DO! |

Saying “Please & “thank you” |
Good
manners will help get you far in the business world and in this class. Show respect if you want respect. Make requests not demands. |

Playing Games or emailing |
There will be no game
playing or emailing allowed during class unless you receive special
permission from me and only if you are current with all assignments. INTERNET
ACCESS CAN BE REVOKED! |
