SUMMER BAND LESSONS START MONDAY

Summer lessons for those band students in 6th through 9th grade will have summer lessons beginning Monday, July 19. All band lessons will be held in the high school band room and last 30 minutes. If you have questions, please call Mr. Plasek at 338-6011 ext. 134

8TH GRADE SOUTH DAKOTA TRIP

The 8th grade class from Parkers Prairie high school, science teacher, Marlene Schoeneck and a number of chaparones left this morning on the 2010 8th grade South Dakota trip. 2010 POPS CONCERT T.V. THEME SONGS

Join the senior high band and choir at 7:30, on Monday, May 10 for their annual Pops Concert. This year's theme is TV theme songs. The groups will play songs from some of your favorite shows...Beverly Hillbillies, Family Guy, Friends, The Muppet Show. Addmission is $3.00 for adults, $1.00 for students with a family maximum of $6.00. Seniors will be admitted free of charge. Join us Monday evening for a great time with great music.
 
PANTHER SPEAKERS TO COMPETE AT STATE

Two members of the Parkers Prairie speech team will compete at the state level after taking 1st and 2nd at the section competition in Morris this past weekend.

PANTHER GIRLS 3RD IN STATE!!

The Parkers Prairie girls basketball team acheived 3rd Place status in the state tournament after a 72-62 win over the Northern Freeze. There will be a short homecoming celebration for the girls and coaching staff at 5:00 Saturday afternoon at the high school.

NOGA REACHES 3000 POINT MARK

Senior, Sari Noga reached a milestone during a game against Cook County at the Walker-Hackensack-Ackley Holiday tornament, getting her 3000th point and contributing to a 62-54 win.

PANTHER VOLLEYBALL STATE PLAYOFFS!

After a loss to Minneota and a win against Deer River. The Panther volleyball team lost a close, hard fought match against Nevis 2-3 to get an overall sixth place finish at state. Click here for all the 2009 state volleyball results. The school invites the entire Parkers Prairie community to welcome home the team at approximately 5:30 on Saturday afternoon.

FORMS AVAILABLE ONLINE

In an effort to be more fiscally and environmentally responsible, Parkers Prairie Schools will not be making hard copies of all of the materials for each family for the coming school year unless requested. We will however make these materials available on the school website under documents and forms to be viewed or printed at any time.

THE PAWPRINT BEGINS '09-'10 SCHOOL YEAR

The '09 - '10 first edition of "The Paw Print", the elementary school newspaper, has gone to print. Congratulations to the student staff and writers and their advisor Laurie Koep.

NOODLES AND NOTES DINNER CONCERT

The Band and Choir will hold their annual Noodles and Notes Dinner Concert on Tuesday, March 30 in the High School Cafeteria. Food will be served from 5:00 to 7:00. Performances will take place from 5:15 to 7:15.

SPEECH INDIVIDUALS TO COMPETE AT SECTIONS

After a great Sub-Section meet, 22 speech members will be moving on to compete in Sections in Morris. 6 members have been chosen to be alternates for Section Competition.

PPHS FALL PLAY "GET SMART" TO BE PERFORMED THIS WEEK
The cast and crew of the PPHS fall play,"Get Smart" have been working hard since the beginning of the school year to prepare this year's performance. Everyone is invited to come see the play in the High School East Gym on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Admission is $3 for students and seniors, $5 for adults.

COMMUNITY HALLOWEEN PARTY
The 2009 Parkers Prairie Community Halloween Party will take place on Friday, October 30 at the elementary school gym from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Panther Boosters and will include games, treats and a hot dog meal. A free will offering will be accepted.

BACK TO SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE

It's back to school time for Parkers Prairie students and their parents. Be ready for the new school year by attending the Back to School Open House night on Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 6:00-8:00pm for elementary students, (See details here) and from 7:00 to 9:00pm at the high school for all 7th grade students and those new to the district. Please contact the school office with any questions.

Back to activities night will take place on Wednesday, July 29 at 6:00 at the high school. At this event you will have a chance to fill out MSHSL Eligibility forms, Pay fees for fall activities or for the entire year, get schedules, meet coaches and have a chance to sign up to take tickets at fall activities.
